Big-Bean Vine is the fourth of seven stages ofGrass Land inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn.Kirby unlocks it with theBean Patch fromRainbow Falls. In it, Kirby is tasked with climbing up a large beanstalk into the clouds, usingBalloon Waddle Dees to float further up.
Upon clearing the stage for the first time, theWatering Can Patch is obtained, allowing access to the fight withFangora.
Patch animation[edit]
After throwing the Bean Patch, it settles into a dedicated slot and an animation of a bean vine growing to the area's door begins. After the bean plant is done growing, the door opens. The same bean vine can be watered later to watch it grow further.
Overview[edit]
The stage plays around a large beanstalk, which grows vertically. At first, Kirby starts on the ground, before ascending into the sky. Kirby (andPrince Fluff in theWii version's co-op mode) must use the leaves of the vine as platforms to progress; larger, wider leaves are stationary, while smaller leaves will buckle under his weight. As he progreses, Kirby encountersDandan andBow Waddle Dee, whose projectiles impede his progress. Later, a pair ofParasol Waddle Dee can be used to reach atreasure.

In the second part of the stage, the ledges the beanstalk provides are placed farther apart, and the level becomes more cloudy. Here,Yin-Yarn patches spawnBalloon Waddle Dees, who can be stood on to get a lift to climb higher up the vine. However, their balloons pop after being stood on for too long, so Kirby must jump from one to another to keep ascending the beanstalk. Later, Kirby enters the inside of the beanstalk for somebeads, before continuing higher up. The level ends without using aMetamortex transformation, but instead with Kirby balancing on three Balloon Waddle Dees at once before reaching the goal.
