Bernard is an enemy who is part of theBeast Pack and appears inKirby and the Forgotten Land andKirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. He is a bipedal compact sheepdog-like enemy who wears an explorer's hat and carries a blunderbuss-like pistol. Bernard is usually seen either out in the open or hiding behind cover, popping out to shoot atKirby when he gets within range. Bernard's projectiles can block most normal attacks from Kirby orBandana Waddle Dee, so they are best avoided. Bernard can be defeated easily with most attacks, yielding aStar Coin on defeat, but can also beinhaled and swallowed for theRangerCopy Ability.
In the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition'sStar-Crossed World mode, a stronger Crystal variant of Bernard appears.
