Beam Lamps[Japanese title] are objects that first appear inKirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake—Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. They appear inNutty Noon - Stage 2 andEgg Engines - Stage 3. They are rectangular boxes with gray trims and a silver star inside. Once they are lit, the lamp turns gold and glows, the star inside becomes bigger and the Beam Lamp rotates. There are also smaller versions of the Beam Lamp, which tend to follow the bigger lamp.

Beam Lamps requireKirby theFlare BeamSuper Ability to activate them and open secret passages. Once they are all activated, they send energy in the shape of a star to grant access to new areas. If Kirby fails to light them, they stop glowing and revert to their original state. The Beam Lamps in the final area of Nutty Noon - Stage 2 are organized to look like a human face and in Egg Engines - Stage 3, smaller versions of Beam Lamps appear alongside their bigger counterpart. In the latter stage, they ride along a circuit board-like trail, which requires more precise maneuvering in order to be activated.
