Babagahara is a dense jungle inDream Land situated down river from the countryside surroundingCappy Town in the anime seriesKirby: Right Back at Ya!. It is an untamed wilderness region home to dense vegetation, wetland bogs, extensive caves, and giant predatory animals. It is the primary setting of the episodeFlower Power andFossil Fools - Part II, and home to themonsterPukey Flower, whichMeta Knight andTuff battle in order to saveKirby from a serious case ofNoddy-induced sleeping sickness. It also once contained the Dinosaur Kingdom theme park andDoctor Moro's laboratory, and was patrolled by theChimera Dinosaurs.
Appearances[edit]
Babagahara is the primary setting of the episodeFlower Power. After Kirby contracts severe sleeping sickness from a Noddy,Doctor Yabui instructs Kirby's friends that a cure lies deep within that wilderness. Knowing its danger, Tuff initially refuses responsibility for Kirby's condition, but is later compelled to take Tiff's place on the expedition to preserve his pride alongsideFololo & Falala. Their journey is perilous, as they run into several wild animals and other hazards, but they are repeatedly saved by Meta Knight, who is acting covertly along with Tiff to ensure their success without them knowing. At the heart of Babagahara is a deep cave with a mouth shaped like a skull. No vegetation grows within the cave, save for the carnivorousPukey Flower, which serves as the main obstacle for Tuff and the others to overcome.
Babagahara appears again in the two-part episodeFossil Fools - Part I andFossil Fools - Part II as the main setting of the Dinosaur Kingdom theme park andDoctor Moro's laboratory. Many of the characters end up stuck in the jungle as they try to avoid theChimera Dinosaurs that were sent to attack them there.
