| “ | This creature lives deep in the ocean. Don't be shocked if you see it! | ” | — Patch Plaza description |
Amprey is an invincible eel-like creature that appears inKirby's Epic Yarn andits remake. It is a relatively largeenemy with a purple body, yellow button eyes and green fins. Amprey's body also flashes bright green and purple due to its electricity. Attached to an Amprey's tail is a line of three largebeads whichKirby orPrince Fluff can collect without taking damage. However, if they collide with the rest of the Amprey, they will lose some of their beads. Encountered exclusively inDeep-Dive Deep inWater Land, this long purple fish swims circles around set features of the landscape.
Amprey's name is a play on "ampere" (a measure of electric current) and "lamprey" (a form of jawless fish that resembles an eel).

As mentioned above, Amprey appears only in the stageDeep-Dive Deep.
