"Air Ride: Celestial Valley" (capitalized as"Air Ride: CELESTIAL VALLEY" in theSound Test and sometimes called"Celestial Valley" for short) is the theme for thecourse with the same name fromKirby Air Ride. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]

"Air Ride: Celestial Valley" is a theme in D minor and 4/4. This track notably features many wind instruments, giving it an airy feel. It starts with a dominant fanfare as an intro. The main melody features a short rising phrase from D to A, passed on among the woodwinds (from an alto clarinet to flute) and a punctuated response from the brass, all with a guitar accompaniment. The phrase plays a second time resolving differently, and the first section repeats. Marked with a transitional cymbal roll, the second section enters on an offbeat, with the melody played by a whistling piccolo instrument and lower, warmer brass. The third section follows with chords, first slowly from an organ, and then quicker and with syncopation with the previous instruments and the low piano registers. They reach dominant, and final triumphant triplets lead back to the first section, from which the track loops.
