Wikifunctions is acollaboratively edited catalog ofcomputer functions to enable the creation, modification, and reuse ofsource code.[2][3] It is closely related toAbstract Wikipedia, an extension ofWikidata to create a language-independent version of Wikipedia using itsstructured data.[4][5][6] Provisionally namedWikilambda,[7] the definitive name ofWikifunctions was announced on 22 December 2020 following a naming contest.[8] Wikifunctions is the firstWikimedia project to launch since Wikidata in 2012.[9]After three years of development, Wikifunctions officially launched in July 2023.[10]
