Thewhite-bellied slender opossum (Marmosops noctivagus) is aspecies ofopossum from South America. It is found inBolivia,Brazil,Ecuador andPeru.
Though previously regarded as a species,M. dorothea, Dorothy's slender opossum, is asynonym ofM. noctivagus. On the other hand,M. ocellatus, ajunior synonym ofM. dorothea, is now recognized as a separate true species.[3]
