TheWest Branch of the Mohawk River is a 5.5-mile-long (8.9 km)[1]river in northernNew Hampshire in theUnited States. It is a tributary of theMohawk River, which flows west to theConnecticut River, which in turn flows south toLong Island Sound, an arm of theAtlantic Ocean.
The West Branch rises inStewartstown, New Hampshire, between Mudget Mountain to the north and Lovering Mountain to the south. The river flows south and is joined by theEast Branch at the village of Upper Kidderville in the town ofColebrook. The West Branch continues south and joins the Mohawk River in Kidderville,[2] just north ofNew Hampshire Route 26.
