West Branch is an Americanliterary magazine based atBucknell University inLewisburg, Pennsylvania, published by the Stadler Center for Poetry. The magazine, which was founded in 1977, publishespoetry,fiction,creative nonfiction, andliterary criticism.[1][2][3][4]
Since 2021, the magazine'seditor-in-chief is Joe Scapellato. In addition to its print magazine,West Branch also publishesWest Branch Wired, an online supplement featuring fiction, poetry, and interviews.
Works originally published inWest Branch have been subsequently selected for inclusion inThe Best American Short Stories,The Best American Poetry, andThe Pushcart Prize: The Best of the Small Presses.[5] Randy DeVita's story, "Riding the Doghouse," was reprinted inThe Best American Short Stories 2007.[6] Marjorie Hudson's story, "The Clearing" received a Pushcart "special mention" in 2008.[7]
