Casting Crowns received a Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year in 2005 for "Voice of Truth".[3]
The song references the Biblical stories ofPeter walking on the water to Jesus (Matthew 14:22-34) and David defeating Goliath (I Samuel 17).[4]
