Surya Kumar Neupane (born 1987) known professionally asUttam Neupane,^[2] is a Nepalisound mixer.^[3] He is the recipient of the5th National Film Award of Nepal for Best Sound mixing for the feature filmMero Euta Saathi Chha.^[4] Two films he did sound-mixing for,Bulbul^[5] andTalakjung vs Tulke,^[6] were Nepal's official entries for the92nd and88th Academy Awards respectively.

He started his career as recordist under the supervision of ace sound engineer Deep Tuladhar and Iman Bikram Shah at Sapthak and BMI Records. By the time of 2008 he became independent Sound designer & Re-recording mixer.^[7]

Since then he is doing sound design, production sound recording, re-recording mixing for Nepali,British,French,German,Indian,Bangladeshi Kurdistani films. In 2022 he mixedA Mero Hajur 4 which is the first film in Nepal that is mixed inDolby Atmos. He also did the sound design and mixed south Asia's firstDTS:X immersive sound format for the feature filmPujar Sarki.^[8] He is sound designer alumni ofBusan International Film Festival-Asian film academy^[9][10] and Berlin international Film festivalBerlinale Talent Campus^[11] in 2023 & 2024 respectively. He is member at theCinema Audio Society^[12][13]
