Trentavis Friday (born June 5, 1995) is an Americantrack and field athlete specializing insprinting events. He is theUSA Men's High School Record Holder in the100 metres.[1]
A native ofGastonia, North Carolina, Friday attendedCherryville High School. He then attendedFlorida State University for one year, before turning professional by signing a four-year contract withXtep in November 2015,[2][3] in order to prepare for the2016 Summer Olympics. At the2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, Friday finished fifth in his preliminary.[4]
Friday was namedGatorade National Track & Field Athlete in 2014.[5] He was alsoTrack and Field News "High School Athlete of the Year."[6]
