Train is an upcoming IndianTamil-language film written and directed byMysskin. The film is produced byKalaipuli S. Thanu underV. Creations. It starsVijay Sethupathi in the lead role.
The film was officially announced in November 2023, in addition to the official title.Principal photography commenced the following month and ended by October 2024. The film has music by Mysskin, and cinematography byFowzia Fathima.
In late March 2023, it was reported thatVijay Sethupathi would play as the lead actor inMysskin's directorial. Sethupathi previously played a cameo role in Mysskin'sPisaasu 2.[1] In late May, Mysskin, during a promotional interview forMaaveeran (2023), revealed that there is discussion for a possible collaboration. He further revealed that the script work is in progress and the project will open when it commences.[2] In mid November, reports claimed thatMalayalam actorJayaram was to play the lead antagonist role.[3] On 30 November,Kalaipuli S. Thanu ofV. Creations made a public announcement of the project. The look of Sethupathi and the title of the film was revealed the same day.[4]Fowzia Fathima was brought on-board to handle the cinematography, in her comeback to the industry after 21-years.[5] Amuhurat puja was held on 1 December inChennai with the presences of the film's cast and crew.[6]Principal photography commenced on 1 December 2023,[7] and had ended by early October 2024.[8]
The music and background score is composed by Mysskin himself, in his second film as a composer afterDevil (2024).[9]
