Tobi "Bob"Jnohope (born 4 October 1997) is afootballer who currently plays forChattanooga Red Wolves of theUSL League One. Born in the United States, he has represented Dominica at youth level.

Youth and college

Jnohope began his youth career with Clearwater Chargers Soccer Club inFlorida where he played for 10 years before joining theSounders FC Academy in 2015. On 3 February 2016, it was announced that Jnohope signed a letter of intent to playcollege soccer at theUniversity of Denver.[1] After beingredshirted as a freshman, he was expected by some media outlets to play a greater role for the upcoming year.[2] However, he was off the roster by the start of the 2017 season.[3]

Club career

On 25 March 2016, Jnohope made his professional debut forSeattle Sounders FC 2 of theUSL, the reserve side ofSeattle Sounders FC ofMajor League Soccer. The match ended in a 1–0 defeat toSacramento Republic.[4] In total he made five league appearances for the club during the2016 USL season.[5]

In January 2019, Jnohope signed forMosta of theMaltese Premier League.[6] After waiting for four months for his work permit, he appeared in three league matches and one match in theMaltese FA Trophy for the club before the season ended and his 6-month contract expired.[7] His one2018–19 Maltese FA Trophy appearance came in a 1–2quarter-final defeat toBirkirkara in which Jnohope scored anown goal.[8][9] Afterward, he had a training stint withBelgian clubRAQM Mons while searching for a new club.[7]

In October 2020, Jnohope was unveiled as a new signing forU.S. Palmese 1912 of theItalianEccellenza Calabria for the 2020–21 season.[10][11] In March 2021, he moved toLernayin Artsakh FC of theArmenian First League.[12] He made his league debut for the club on 15 March againstFC Urartu-2, starting the match and playing the full ninety minutes of the 1–0 victory.[13]

On July 26, 2024, Jnohope signed withUSL League One sideChattanooga Red Wolves for the remainder of their season.[14]

International career

Jnohope was born inFlorida,United States to aDominican father andNigerian mother.[15] After initially being undecided about which nation to represent,[16] in July 2019 he was included in Dominica's under-23 squad for2020 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship qualification.[17] He scored his team's only goal in its opening match againstJamaica, an eventual surprise 1–1 draw.[18] He went on to make two appearances in the tournament.[7]
