Tigres de Álica F.C. is a football club that plays in theLiga Premier –Serie A. It is based inTepic,Mexico.
The team was founded in July 2021, having been registered in the Liga TDP since its first professional season.[1]
In the2023–24 season, the team managed to qualify for the promotion play-offs for the first time, after finishing in first position in the Group 15. After defeating the clubs Sultanes de Tamazunchale,Obson Dynamo,Aves Blancas andH2O Purépechas,[2] Tigres de Alica achieved promotion to theLiga Premier de México on May 18, 2024.[3]
On June 28, 2024 the team achieved a place in Serie A due to an expansion of participating clubs in that branch of the Liga Premier.[4] After that event, the team changed its stadium, starting to play in theEstadio Nicolás Álvarez Ortega, the largest sports venue in Tepic.[5]
