Thulium(II) chloride is aninorganic compound with the chemical formula TmCl2.
Thulium(II) chloride can be produced by reducingthulium(III) chloride by thulium metal:[1]
Thulium(II) chloride reacts with water violently, producinghydrogen gas andthulium(III) hydroxide. When thulium(II) chloride first touches water, a light red solution is formed, which fades quickly.[1]
