Chemical compound

Tetrachlorodinitroethane is a chlorinated nitroalkane produced bynitration oftetrachloroethylene withdinitrogen tetroxide orfuming nitric acid.[1][2][3] It's a powerfullachrymatory agent andpulmonary agent that is six times more toxic thanchloropicrin.[3] Tetrachlorodinitroethane may be used as afumigant.[4]
