Ampliification

[edit]

As it stands this article says very little about the philatelic detail behind the series - watermarks, graphite lines, phosphors etc. I am prepared to have a go at re-writing the article to include such material. How do people fell about this?Kermitstan (talk)17:20, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

External link does no longer exist

[edit]

The external link tohttp://postalheritage.org.uk/exhibitions/onlineexhibitions/elizabeth/dorothywilding does no longer exist. I was trying to re-allocate but was not able to find the content anymore. Website probably overhauled to use Wordpress and BLOG style. Since this external reference is the only one and also used in the German version - does anyone know (and link) some good source about the topic?Sixtus de (talk)12:04, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wilding Stamps Replaced by the Machin Design Before Decimalisation

[edit]

The article states that the Wilding stamp designs continued in use until the UK converted to decimal currency in 1971. In fact, they were replaced by the Arnold Machin designs in 1967. One of the 4d Machin stamps is shown on this link within the Wilding designs article:
