Sādh Vaiṣṇavism is incorrect spelling in IAST

[edit]

Regarding Sādh Vaiṣṇavism. It is wrong based on the sources quoted as well as according to Sanskrit. The meaning is sat/sad = "true/eternal" vaiṣṇavism. It is written as "sadh" in Roman only so that it does not appear as "Unhappy (sad in english) Vaiṣṇavism". But at least when we are writing in IAST (which is supposed to represent Sanskrit accurately) we cannot write it as sādh since there is no word sādh in Sanskrit. Sādhu (saint) is there but not sādh. 203.192.214.45 (talk) 04:28, 11 February 2023 (UTC)203.192.214.45 (talk)04:35, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have told you how you should be proceeding twice already. You need torequest a pagemove, not just change every instance of the subjects name to the name you consider to be correct.Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦04:56, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per the article's history and some comments at thetalk page, this looks like a potentially controversial matter of translation from Sansrkit. We may need an authority on that matter to chip in. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS)14:31, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sadh VaishnavismSat Vaishnavism – Spelling correction. The word "Sadh" has no meaning, it's "Sat" meaning "True" in Sanskrit. —HemantDabral (📞) 07:04, 11 June 2024 (UTC)This is a contested technical request (permalink). —HemantDabral (📞) 12:13, 14 June 2024 (UTC)— Relisting. Safari ScribeEdits!Talk! 04:51, 22 June 2024 (UTC)— Relisting. BilledMammal (talk)08:42, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
