Reading David Wootton's effort to ascribe Family of Love membership to R Scot, it strikes me as a valiant academic effort, but in the end it comes across as rather groping. It is speculative: the evidence offered is Wootton's own debatable interpretation of certain overlapping ideas. Wootton doesn't seem to consider enough beyond the English Channel whereas the majority of Scot's argument is for or against numerous sources from the continent. To me it seems best to focus on a fuller understanding of Scot's actual citations before going too far into speculation about mysterious maybe-sources.Lewismr (talk)17:35, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
