Joker's Origin

[edit]

Admittedly I missed that specific issue but care should be taken in declaring something not canon over the Joker's origin story. As I recall, the Joker himself has said that he enjoys making up differing origins for himself and at least once, declaring that he has a hard time remembering which one is true.Lots42 (talk)16:00, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the story is not in the Joker's perspective, & this whole series is like a retcon to Batman's history after Crisis on Infinate Earths wiped the slate clean for anything that happened before the 80s, so yeah, it's canon. The wounds Batman gave Joker on the face that he had to stich up have to be restitched in Batman 663 & in Do You Understand These Rights the Joker identified Batman in disguise which goes with the Joker not being suprised or caring about seeing Batman without his cowel in Batman RIP & the little suggestive knowing when the Joker laughed at Bruce Wayne in A Death in the Family. When Jason Todd showed up as the new Red Hood, I sure don't recall Batman saying anything about it being the Joker's old identity. Also, there's no indication on issue one that the series happens in the Elseworlds.

Another thing....since Superman Confidential, followed by Superman:Secret Origins is supposed to be the new Superman canon, you can pretty much guess the same thing with Batman Confidential.—Precedingunsigned comment added by24.17.118.100 (talk)11:49, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do You Understand These Rights.

[edit]

There is a possibility that this is either a tip-of-the-hat to or a retelling of "Joker:Devil's Advocate."—Precedingunsigned comment added by24.17.118.100 (talk)09:29, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity.

[edit]

If this is the new canon, doesn't it trump the continuity of Ledgends of the Dark Knight?—Precedingunsigned comment added by24.17.118.100 (talk)04:31, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
