Ntabankulu, alternatively rendered asTabankulu, is a town inAlfred Nzo District Municipality in theEastern Cape province ofSouth Africa. Village some 30 km east-south-east ofMount Frere and 50 km south-south-west ofKokstad.
OfXhosa origin, the name means 'large mountain'.[2] Originating as a general store in 1894 owned by Blenkinsop and Meth while the village was laid out in 1909.[2][3]
