TR Property Investment Trust is a largeBritishinvestment trust dedicated to investments in the property sector.[1] Established in 1905, the company is a constituent of theFTSE 250 Index.[2] It is managed by Thames River Capital LLP.[3] By 2024, Thames River Capital LLP was part of Columbia Threadneedle Investments.[4][5]
The company was formed in 1905 asThe Trust Union consolidating several smaller investment trust companies. On 5 April 1982, the company changed its investment policy to that of "investing predominately in securities in the property sector". At the same time it changed its name toTR Property Investment Trust PLC.[6]
