Alskog is a populated area, asocken (not to be confused withparish), on the Swedish island ofGotland.[3] It comprises the same area as theadministrative Alskog District, established on 1 January 2016.[4]
Alskog is situated in the central east part of Gotland.[5] ThemedievalAlskog Church is located in the socken.[6] As of 2019[update], Alskog Church belongs to Gardeparish, along with the churches inGarde,Etelhem,Lye andArdre.[7][8]
The threeLau Islets just off the coast are part of Alskog, despite being named after the neighboringLau socken.[9] On the north part of the Alskog coastline is the sheltered harbor of Svajdefishing village.[10]
