Asuncatcher orlight catcher is a small reflective,refractive, and/oriridescentornament. It may includeglass ornacre pieces and be hung indoors near a window to "catch"sunlight.[1][additional citation(s) needed]

A suncatcher is like the optical equivalent of awind chime. Some designs are simple and abstract with perhaps somemobile-like chained elements, while more complex designs often evokeflora orfauna. Many designs combine suncatchers with wind chimes.

Suncatchers may bemass-produced or handmade, and vary in simplicity of design from anarts-and-crafts project to a professionally handmade glass sculpture.
