TheFleshlight is abrand ofartificial vagina, oral, or analsex toy.[1] It is amasturbatory aid, which is used by inserting thepenis into its opening.
The Fleshlight was designed by Steve Shubin[2] who was granted apatent in July 1998 for his invention,[3] as a "device for discreetsperm collection".[4] Shubin, a former member of theSWAT team of theLos Angeles Police Department, previously had already filed a patent for asex doll torso in 1995.[2] It is marketed byInteractive Life Forms, LLC.[5] It is named for theflesh-like material used in its inner sleeve, as well as the plastic case that houses the sleeve, which is fashioned to look like an oversizedflashlight. The inner sleeve is available with avulva,anus ormouth orifice, in colors representing a variety of skin tones as well as see-through, and 48 different internal textures.[6] The exact material used is kept a secret.[2]
Alongside their classic collection, Fleshlight also introduced the 'Freak' and 'Alien' collections, which modelled Fleshlight's onfantasy orsci-fi style designs that shied away from the conventional pornographic models traditionally used.[7]
The Fleshlight Girls brand consists of masturbation sleeves molded from the bodies ofpornographic actresses. A device called the Fleshjack is a spinoff marketed togay men.[8] The Fleshjack Boys and Fleshjack Guys brands consist of masturbation sleeves of anal mold anddildos molded from the bodies ofgay pornographic actors.[2]
In 2017, Fleshlight collaborated with Dutch sex-tech manufacturer KIIROO to develop Fleshlight Launch, an interactive device that was able to move a Fleshlight sleeve, whilst also syncing withadult entertainment or corresponding female toys.[9][2]
In 2019 the Quickshot Launch was released.[10]
