Stanislav Loska (Czech pronunciation:[ˈstaɲɪslavˈloska]; born 21 June 1968) is a veteran on theCzech paralympic team, competing inalpine skiing. The2010 Winter Paralympics inVancouver were his fifthParalympic Games. At the1994 Winter Paralympics inLillehammer he won the bronze medal inslalom.[1] He won the same medal in theworld championship inLech inAustria. At the1998 Winter Paralympics inNagano he placed fourth and fifth.[1] In the world championships inAnzère he won the bronze medal in the slalom and an invitation to the2002 Winter Paralympic Games inSalt Lake City.

Stanislav Loska was born inOstrava. He learned toski as soon as he could stand. His coming ski career broke an accident in 1988. He studied inBrno the Faculty of Civil Engineering of theBrno University of Technology. He used to come back home by train throughPřerov, where he had to wait until the locomotive was changed. One day it was changed earlier and Loska almost missed the train. He tried to jump into the accelerating train, but he fell under it and lost his left arm.
