Sonja Balun Harand (born 12 December 1955) is an Austrian formerfigure skater who competed in ladies' singles. She is a four-timeAustrian national champion (1973–1976)[1] and competed at the1972 Winter Olympics, finishing 17th.[2]
Born inCzechoslovakia, Balun is the daughter of the1954 European bronze medalists in pair skating –Soňa Balunová andMiloslav Balun. The family arrived in Austria in 1967.
She married Olympic ice hockey player Kurt Harand.
