Simon I, son ofOnias I, (310–291 or 300–270 BCE) wasHigh Priest in theTemple in Jerusalem during theSecond Temple period.
Some writers identify him withSimeon the Just: theJewish Encyclopedia (1906) names Fränkel and Grätz as examples.[1]
