Simeon ben Jehozadak

RabbiSimeon ben Jehozadak (רבי שמעון בן יהוצדק) was a rabbi who was one of the semi-tannaim on the border between the eras oftannaim andamoraim.

Rabbi Shimon bar Yehotzadak (I)

He was a teacher ofRabbi Yochanan,[1] who quotes many laws in his name.[2]

He was akohen; when he died inLod, his brother Yochanan visited from theGalilee.[3] R' Yochanan was present at Shimon's death.[4]

Rabbi Shimon bar Yehotzadak (II)

Once a Rabbi Shimon bar Yehotzadak and R' Hiyya bar Zarnuki went todeclare a leap year in a place called Asya.[5] This cannot be Shimon bar Yehotzadak (I), but must be a different individual.[6]
