SherShah is a neighbourhood inKarachi,Pakistan,[1] that is located along the northern bank of theLyari River. Sher Shah is home to theMorroro Graveyard - a vast cemetery that is centuries old.[2] It is also the site of some of Karachi's recycling industry.[3] In October 2010,Baloch terrorists gunned down 13 members of the Urdu-speaking community in a spare-parts market.[4]
There are several ethnic groups in Kiamari Town includingUrdu speakers,Sindhis,Punjabis,Kashmiris,Seraikis,Pakhtuns,Balochs,Memons,Bohras andIsmailis.
The Sher Shah neighbourhood andSher Shah Bridge inKiamari Town of Karachi is named after Sher Shah Bukhari Khurasani. Sher Shah Park inWah Cantt,Pakistan, is named in the honour ofSher Shah Suri.
