Shenzhen Airlines is anairline headquartered inBao'an,Shenzhen,Guangdong, China. It is based inShenzhen Bao'an International Airport.[2][3]

It has been a member ofStar Alliance since 2012, and is currently one of two Chinese airlines that are members.[4] In 2010, the airline carried 16.5 million passengers, up 9% from the previous year.[5] The airline had its headquarters in the Lintian Building at Shenzhen Airport.[6][7]

Incidents

On 26 July 2015, a male passenger on Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9648 fromTaizhou toGuangzhou attempted to set fire to theaircraft cabin before being overpowered by theaircrew and other passengers. 95 passengers and 9 crew were evacuated; two passengers were injured.[27][28] The aircrew were later awarded 2.5 millionRenminbi for their actions, while two passengers were given CN¥ 150,000.[29]
