Sharlee D'Angelo (bornCharles Petter Andreason, 27 April 1973) is a Swedish musician. He is the bassist for themelodic death metal bandArch Enemy, as well as theclassic rock/AOR bandthe Night Flight Orchestra and thestoner metal bandSpiritual Beggars.
D'Angelo has also been in various bands in the past, either as a studio session player or full member. These includeArch Enemy,Mercyful Fate,Dismember,King Diamond andWitchery.
He plays with Dunloppicks and primarily usedRickenbacker bass guitars in his early career, before switching to playing and endorsingIbanez Iceman bass guitars in 2005.Ibanez now produces the Sharlee D'Angelo signature bass guitar, called the SDB2,[1] which is tuned to D'Angelo's preferred C standard[2] (Low to High – C, F, Bb, Eb).
D'Angelo has cited a number of bass players as early influences, includingRoger Glover,Glenn Hughes,Steve Dawson,Peter Baltes, andJohn Entwistle.[2]
