Semat (fl. c. 2950 BC) was anAncient Egyptian Queen, who was a wife of the KingDen. She was buried near him inAbydos.[citation needed]
Very little is known about Semat besides astela discovered near Den's tomb in Abydos[citation needed]. She held the titles of

Both of these titles were associated with queens in ancientEgypt.[2] Semat was not the only woman identified from funerary stela. Other women whose funerary stela were found near Den's tomb areSeshemetka andSerethor.[3]
The stela was in theEgyptian Museum of Berlin, but was destroyed duringWorld War 2.[4]
