Scarlett and Black were apop duo from theUK, whose birth names were Robin Hild and Sue West.[1] Robin Hild was previously the keyboard player forthe Big Supreme; Sue West was a formerbacking vocalist forDoctor and the Medics. They released a self-titledalbum onVirgin Records in 1987, which proved to be a minor success in theU.S., peaking at No. 107 on theBillboard Top 200 in 1988.[2] Thesingle "You Don't Know" was ahit record that same year, peaking at No. 20 on theBillboard Hot 100 and appearing on theAdult Contemporary (No. 13) and Dance (No. 32 Hot Dance/Club Play, No. 41 Hot Dance Singles) charts.[3]

Unable to provide a viable follow-up, Scarlett & Black remain dubbed asone-hit wonders.

"You Don't Know" is played in one of the Wyatt sisters' bedrooms inParent Trap III (1989). It was also on the soundtrack for the movieHiding Out (1987).
