Sarabjot Singh (born 30 September 2001) is an Indiansport shooter who specializes in the 10 m air pistol. He is an Olympic bronze medalist having won the medal at the2024 Paris Olympics alongsideManu Bhaker.[2]

Early life and education

Sarabjot hails from Dheen village ofAmbala,Barara block,Haryana.[3] He is the son of Jatinder Singh, a farmer and Hardeep Kaur, a homemaker.[4] He studied atDAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh.[5][4] He trains under coach Abhishek Rana at theAmbala Cantt-based AR Shooting Academy in Central Phoenix Club.[4]

Career

Singh was a part of the Indian shooting team at the2022 Asian Games.[6] Indian 10m air pistol team of Sarabjot Singh,Arjun Singh Cheema andShiva Narwal beat China to win the gold at the 2022 Asian Games.[7] Sarabjot also won the silver medal for India in the mixed 10m air pistol withDivya T.S. in the Asian Games shooting competitions.[8][9][10]

Earlier in 2021, he won the gold in both the individual and team events of the World Championships. In 2019, he won gold in the ISSF Junior World Cup.

He won the bronze medal in2024 Summer Olympics in Paris 10m air pistolMixed Team event withManu Bhaker.[11]
