TheSilicon Graphics Prism is a series ofvisualization computer systems developed and manufactured bySilicon Graphics (SGI). Released in April 2005, the Prism's basic system architecture is based on theAltix 3000 servers, but with graphics hardware.[1]The Prism uses theLinux operating system and theOpenGL software library.[2]
Three models of the SGI Prism are Power, Team and Extreme levels.
The graphics pipelines for the Prism areATIFireGL cards based on either the R350 or R420GPUs.
