Rui Xingwen (Chinese:芮杏文;pinyin:Ruì Xìngwén; 1 April 1927 – 5 June 2005) was aChinese politician who served as theParty Chief ofShanghai from 1985 to 1987, and as a member of theSecretariat of the13th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party beginning in 1987. He was born inLianshui County,Jiangsu, and joined theChinese Communist Party in 1945. He died prior to an illness on 5 June 2005.[1]
