Roman Griffin Davis (born 5 March 2007) is an English actor. He is best known for his title role in the filmJojo Rabbit (2019), for which he was nominated for aGolden Globe.

Early life and career

Roman Griffin Davis was born on 5 March 2007 inLondon.[1] He is the son of cinematographerBen Davis and writer-director Camille Griffin.[2][3] He lives with his parents and brothers, twins Gilby and Hardy, inEast Sussex. He went to school at Cumnor House and Cranbrook grammar school, Sussex, until 2020.[4][5] Davis made his acting debut in the 2019 satiricalblack comedy filmJojo Rabbit directed byTaika Waititi. His twin brothers are also in the film asHitler Youth clones.[4] Davis was nominated for various awards for his performance inJojo Rabbit and won theCritics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and theWashington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. He starred in the 2021 comedySilent Night directed by his mother Camille Griffin.[6][7]

In February 2024, he was attached to the film500 Miles, along with actorBill Nighy, to be directed byMorgan Matthews.[8]
