Robert Drews (born March 26, 1936) is an American historian who is Professor of Classical Studies Emeritus atVanderbilt University. He received hisB.A. fromNorthwestern College, hisM.A. fromUniversity of Missouri and hisPh.D. fromJohns Hopkins University. Drews specializes inancient history andprehistory, in particular the evolution ofwarfare and ofreligion.
