Porsgrunn Bridge (Norwegian:Porsgrunnsbrua) is adrawbridge constructed of concrete and steel. It is located in thetown of Porsgrunn which is located inPorsgrunn Municipality inTelemarkcounty,Norway. The bridge, which was completed on 13 October 1957, connects the eastern and western sides of the town center of Porsgrunn. It crosses thePorsgrunn River just east of theFrednes Bridge and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) near where the river empties into theFrierfjord. The bridge is about 283 metres (928 ft) long with a 40.4-metre (133 ft) long main span. Boat traffic beneath the bridge has an 8-metre (26 ft) bridge clearance.[1][2]
