Pontikonisi (Greek:Ποντικονήσι, "Mouse Island") is aGreek islet near the island ofCorfu. Its prominent feature is aByzantine chapel ofPantokrator, dating from the 11th or 12th century.[1]
The island of Pontikonisi might have served as an inspiration forArnold Böcklin's paintingIsle of the Dead.[2]
