San Pablo Peninsula is apeninsula in westernRichmond, betweenSan Pablo Bay andSan Rafael Bay, in southwesternContra Costa County, California.
The peninsula runs betweenCastro Cove andPoint San Pablo, and is dominated by the steep ridges of thePotrero Hills, an escarpment that runs along the entire peninsula.[1]
The peninsula is largely owned byChevron and is used as a safety buffer for security purposes (seeChevron Richmond Refinery).
