Town of ancient Pontus

Pida (Ancient Greek:Πίδα), orPidae[1] orPidis,[2] was a town ofancient Pontus, inhabited duringRoman andByzantine times.[3] It was in the later province ofPontus Galaticus, on the road leading fromAmasia toNeocaesareia.[4][2]

Its site is located nearAkça inAsiatic Turkey.[3][5]
