Piauí Esporte Clube, commonly known asPiauí, are aBrazilianfootball team fromTeresina.[1] They won theCampeonato Piauiense five times and competed in theSérie A twice.

History

They were founded on August 15, 1948.[1] The club won theCampeonato Piauiense for the first time in 1966, winning again the competition in the three subsequent years.[2] Piauí competed in theSérie A in1979 and in1986.[2]

Stadium

They play their home games at theLindolfinho stadium.[2] The stadium has a maximum capacity of 8,000 people.[2]
