Pekka Peltola (born April 24, 1965, in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish formerice hockeyleft winger. He played in theSM-liiga forHPK,Lukko,HIFK andÄssät.[1]
In the1988–89 season, Peltola won theJarmo Wasama Memorial Trophy as the SM-liiga's Rookie of the Year after scoring 58 points including 28 goals in just 43 games.[2][3] He was then drafted 130th overall by theWinnipeg Jets in the1989 NHL Entry Draft,[4] though he never played in North America and remained with HPK.
Peltola also played in the FrenchÉlite Ligue forBrest Albatros Hockey, theAustrian Hockey League forEC KAC and the GermanDeutsche Eishockey Liga for theKassel Huskies.
