Papyrus 77 (in theGregory-Aland numbering), designated by 𝔓77, is apapyrusmanuscript of theGospel of Matthew verses 23:30-39. It is written inGreek and haspalaeographically been assigned a date anywhere from the middle 2nd century to the early 3rd century.[1]

According to Comfort, Papyrus 77 together withPapyrus 103 probably belong to the same codex.[2]

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of theAlexandrian text-type.Aland ascribed it as an “at least normal text”, and placed it inCategory I.[3] 𝔓77 has the closest affinity withCodex Sinaiticus.[2]

It is currently housed at theSackler Library (P. Oxy. 2683) inOxford.[3][4]
