TheOrléanais dialect (French pronunciation:[ɔʁleanɛ]) is alangue d'oïl that was part of adialect group calledFrancien.[2]

The dialect covers three departments, corresponding to the territory ofOrléanais, former province of the kingdom ofFrance:Loir-et-Cher,Loiret andEure-et-Loir. It and other Francien dialects such asBerrichon progressively dissolved into a regional variant ofFrench.[2]
