Organoneptunium chemistry

Chemistry of organometallic compounds containing a neptunium-carbon bond

Organoneptunium chemistry is thechemical science exploring the properties, structure, and reactivity oforganoneptunium compounds, which areorganometallic compounds containing acarbon toneptuniumchemical bond.[1] Several such compounds exist even though the element itself,neptunium, is man-made and highlyradioactive: tricyclopentadienylneptunium-chloride,[2][3] tetrakis(cyclopentadienyl)neptunium(IV)[4] andneptunocene Np(C8H8)2.
